Satiago and Georgia had to go to a wedding on Saturday so we packed up our bags to stay at Simons. Breakfast was rice, beans, egg, and meat. We took an Uber to Simons and regrouped. We went out to the commercial center where there are a ridiculous amount of stores. Shoes are the main item being sold. On average, everything is about 4x cheaper here.

We went to the botanical gardens which was almost more of a park with dedicated plants. It was very nice and there was lots of green.

Next we jumped over to a mall and ate at a place called crepes and waffles. The crepes we got were all savory and very delicious. My dish was sombrero vueltiao.

We regrouped again and went out to a small traditional town on the top a lookout mountain in the center of Medellín. We had some micheladas, however, here they are made with mango. By now it was dark outside and we had 360 degree views of all of the city lights. There was a nice grassy area and we all attempted backflips (mostly successful). We then descended the mountain and went back to Simon’s house.

Everyone joined us at the house and we hung out outside. We all went out to the regatón bar and danced till 6 in the morning. Our late night / morning snack was empeñadas, pastel de pollo, and palito de queso. I was not ready to be going to bed with the sunrise.
